When we formed Right Stuff in the late 1990s, payroll processing for police departments was being done almost entirely with hand calculations on paper. We discovered that many agencies were putting off automation due to the sheer complexity of the rules required to manage the information. We knew that if we could create a customizable solution for law enforcement—the most complicated group—we could easily adapt and expand the software to meet the needs of an entire city environment, including Fire, Service, and Recreation. The cities and counties that have adopted our system love the consistency that comes with having the entire “team” on board.
